(93) Minerva
Occulted star mag 9.5 V

Overview

Asteroid (93) Minerva is a triple system. both satellite
Minerva-I Aegis and Minerva-II Gorgoneion were discovered in 2009.

We found a precovery observation of Aegis in 2003 (6 years before its
discovery). The derivated orbit on this large time span show a precision
       of 8 mas.

During the last occultation event on 2014, September the 6th, the
satellite Gorgoneion have been observed by S. Messner. Giving a new position
we obtained a new orbit for this occultation.

The Tycho star with mag 9.5 on V-band, should disappear for 0.5
second only for Gorgoneion and 0.7 second for Aegis. The greatest uncertainty
comes from the relative position of Minerva and the occulted star. If you plan
to observe, adjust your integration time (0.1 sec idealy) and check the lastest
       update on Steve Preston Page.
